Farm Tour
Ferme Les Hautins is an organic farm in the Comminges region, at the foot of the Pyrenees in Occitanie. It is first and foremost a family-run farm that has been passed down through several generations. Alongside our livestock farming activities, we welcome guests in our guest rooms and holiday cottages, offering you the opportunity to discover farm life in a peaceful, natural setting.
We raise cattle using organic farming practices, with great respect for our animals, our pastures and the environment. Our work is part of a sustainable approach, making the most of local resources and providing our herd with natural feed from our own pastures. The changing seasons shape the rhythm of life on the farm and guide our daily work.
During your stay, you can see the cows grazing in the fields on a walk starting directly from the farm, enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, and discover what goes on behind the scenes at a working farm in the Comminges.
Jean-François will be delighted to show you around the farm and tell you about his work, his daily life as a farmer, and his commitment to responsible and environmentally friendly farming.
Life on the farm sometimes brings lovely surprises. Some of our guests have even had the chance to see newborn calves — and to give them their very own names! These simple and precious moments create unforgettable memories for both children and adults.
Staying at Ferme Les Hautins means enjoying a truly unique experience: a farm stay in Occitanie, surrounded by nature, animals and the values that are at the heart of farming life.
Farm-to-Table Dining
During your stay at Ferme Les Hautins, discover our table d’hôtes, a simple and authentic culinary experience at the heart of our organic farm in the Comminges.
We welcome you to enjoy home-cooked meals prepared mainly with produce from our farm and ingredients sourced from local producers. The meat served at our table d’hôtes comes directly from our organic cattle farm. Our vegetables are picked fresh from the garden or sourced from nearby growers, following a short supply chain and respecting the rhythm of the seasons.
Our table d’hôtes celebrates the flavours of the region and the traditional recipes passed down through generations :
- Homemade beef sausage
- Grilled meat from our farm, served with seasonal vegetables from the garden
- Traditional slow-cooked dishes such as beef daube and veal blanquette
- Artisan farmhouse pasta
- Not forgetting our homemade cakes and delicious desserts, prepared with care
Every meal is different, created according to the produce available and the inspiration of the moment. There is no standardised menu here — just homemade food, local ingredients and authentic flavours.
Our table d’hôtes in Occitanie is also about sharing and conviviality. Meals are enjoyed around a large communal table, just like at a big family gathering. Conversation flows naturally between guests, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
